I think the text version is the most effective out of the three at making somebody want to join the blog. It tells the viewer explicitly what the site is meant for, rather than rely on flashy visuals to catch their eye. I think the video feels a little more inviting, though, like it's welcoming viewers into the community. So it would be the best at grabbing attention out of the three
